when I wake up in the morning and I’m all comfy in my bed,
I fell like a lil blanket-bug, and I burrow in my head!

the wind whispered stories
and drew me from my cave
to the jagged shorelines of your ocean
of my grave
waves of grief and disbelief
lap gently at my feet
only to recede and reveal
a bed of broken dreams

come to me easy
as i lay down tonight
make peace in my mind
as i sleep tonight
whether in a bed or on the streets
in a prison cot
or cold dirt floor
sleep will always cleanse the soul
and until sunrise
let me sleep in peace
undisturbed
dreaming
bliss
come to me easy
as i lay down tonight
