If you look to God,
you might see,
there’s a plan for you
and a plan for me.
but for me and you
and you and me
who does he want?
what can we be?
If you look to God,
you might see,
there’s a plan for you
and a plan for me.
but for me and you
and you and me
who does he want?
what can we be?

I’m trying to tell whether this poem is as simple and unpretentious as it seems or whether you’re subtly making a point about something deeper, like free will v determinism. It’s just so clean and simple and unlike some of your other stuff.

I don’t want to interpret the poem for you. I think that is best left up to the reader, but I do think it’s good to change it up once and a while.

interesting… you want to interpret a love affair?
