You’re not above me
you just nudge me
in the direction you think I ought to go.
You don’t know me
so don’t show me
that you think you know more than He.
No one knows more
than the divine one,
(but maybe the divine one’s son)
bar none.
Just cause a guy
with a big old hat
gave you a pat on the back
and said you could be a priest
till you get fat
doesn’t mean you can tell me
gay people are whack
what kind of love is that?

180 degrees can change my life
as i sit here stabbing the air with this knife
should i turn around and end it now?
or continue this life beneath this frown?
Well, some say yes
and some say no,
but I’m here to tell you
it doesn’t matter which way you go.
‘Cause you all end up
in the same place,
in the same time,
face to face with the thing
you may deem divine.
And that’s God.
God is the magical one,
the mysterious one,
the one that may seem to be having
all the fun.
He’s playing with the puppets,
and you’re the one
that’s doing his wishes
and not having fun.
But I’m not here to tell you
what’s false and what’s true,
I’m here to tell you that
you decide what you do.
I’m not here to tell you
what’s right and what’s wrong
I’m here to tell you that
you do belong.
Even though you’re self-esteem
may be gone.

If you look to God,
you might see,
there’s a plan for you
and a plan for me.
but for me and you
and you and me
who does he want?
what can we be?

Save Me.
the walls are closing in.
Save Me.
from the demons that live within.
Save Me.
my mind begins to spin.
Save Me.
from this unfitting skin.
Save Me.
for they are whispering sin.
Save Me.
for my life is about to end.

And yes, you can make
all the excuses you want.
you can justify your
wrongs in any way that makes
your insecurities turn into
a feeling of power and well being.
You can dismiss the blatant truths
right in front of your eyes
in search of any reason to tell yourself
that this is not who
you really are.
But in the end,
you cannot hide from the truth.
You must come to face who you are,
who you have been,
what you have done.
In the end,
you cannot make any more
excuses.
You cannot cover up
any of your wrong doings.
You can no longer seek
to feed off the weak,
rather you must come to terms with
yourself and who you really are
as a person.

the reading of books
and nonchalant looks
has got me up on edge
how do i let
my true colours flow
when i am nothing
but the universe
which is only everything i know
how can i make do
with the unjust
and bias based views
of powers that i know to be true.
i am blind
i am weak
i am a child of unknown beliefs

confess yourself
undress yourself
to your bones
reveal your soul
to yourself
you need to know
who you are
before you can help
anyone else
