Why can’t this be a happy trip?
go ahead tuck in that pouty lip.
Sure this is the time to say goodbye,
but everyone knows all things must die.
It’s just a matter of where and when,
so here’s to you my unbelievable friend.
Just know that my love (and appreciation) will never end.
And maybe, someday we’ll meet again.

Like a newborn opening its eyes for the very first time
It comes upon me that I have been living blind
Walking, talking, breathing, but not opening my eyes
To the beauty I’ve been missing should be a crime
Like many before me, I try to rewind
All the hours I’ve wasted, all the wonders I missed
Obviously I should have taken more risks
But reality comes harsh in the mornings; I can never go back in time.

A forest.
Walking into a land of mystery,
You never know what you’ll find here.
It is a place where things go bump in the night.
A place where you stumble across contrasts.
A place that contains three phenomenons:
Water, fire, serenity.
What is this place you ask?
A forest.

Out here in the sand
when you don’t know who’s the Enemy and who’s a friend
and it f**ks with your head,
It’s hard to tell
What you’re fighting for
By the fourth tour,
When you’ve seen the Enemy’s father ask
“Why have you Killed my son?”
then you come and you tell Me
Who won

They come
rushing forward
rolling off your tongue,
spitting through your lips.
as they fly
through the air,
you never realize
what damage they
will do.
They hit me
with a force
unimaginable
unfathomable
unreal.
like a spear stabbing
straight through my heart
i feel as if i
am dying.
physical abuse can
heal with time
but words
will nestle within
and haunt you forever.

sitting in the dark
waiting for the sun
that will never come
dreams turn to sand
slipping through your hands
the wind wiping wildly
through your long and unkempt hair
naked as a baby
dressed and gone to war
please somebody save me
from the shadows
outside my door
